Sam recently changed his domainname to thecowinthemiddle.com (awesome name Sam!). Due to the change, he lost a lot of hits, links and pagerank points. Therefore he posted a blog-tagging post.
Blog-tagging? WTH r u talking about?
Well, it’s actually quite simple. You tell 5 things about yourself that most people probably don’t know and add (tag) 5 links to blogs you like. He tagged me so now I have to tag him and add 4 others.
Ok…?
Yeah, I have my doubts. It’s like a chain letter, but for blogs. And I really hate chain letters and e-mails. What I do like is the “tell 5 things about yourself”. People who follow my twitter may have noticed that I find privacy overrated (but when I don’t tweet I usually do something sneaky
) and I love telling stuff about me. And tagging 5 blogs is a great way to express your appreciation. I choose rather personal blogs, although I also read a lot of other giant and famous blogs. Here it goes.
Five things about me you probably didn’t knew:
1) I love theater. I had an education at the Belgian Academy of Music and Word (Academie voor Muziek en Woord) where I had some of the best teachers. I graduated in 2006 with a play written and directed by the lovely Marjan Loman. We did our own version of The Moulin Rouge and called it Moulin Mauve. I played a dancing instructor. See me in my costume on flickr. I’ll definitely want to act again but at the moment I don’t have the time.
2) I love dancing. If you invite me for a dance I wont say no, if you don’t, there’s a chance I just push you on that dance flour. I used to take dance-lessons of modern and funk dance. I’d love to learn salsa-dance.
3) I used to read a lot of books. When I was a little girl, I was one of the biggest Roald Dahl fans. Untill I was 16 or something, I used to go to the library every week to borrow a couple of books. The last book I read was Como agua para chocolate by a Mexican author Laura Esquivel. Last year I bought book Malinche but I never finished it. I’ll read it again this summer.
4) I’m intrigued by languages. I speak Dutch, Flemish, English and French and would love to learn Italian, Spanish and Russian some time. If anyone wants to join me for Italian classes, give me a shout!
5) My favorite painter is Claude Monet. My favorite paintings are the ones from women and a parasol. I own a puzzle of one of his paintings and I really want to finish it but it is way to hard. I’ve been looking for someone who can help me with this for quite a long time now. Any volunteers?
5 blogs I read and like:
Ronny: nocreativity.com/blog (Dutch)
Koen: newmovieclip.com
Bert: blog.bertg.be
Remember: I don’t want you to “tag” me back or something.
So, we all learned a little something today and added some new blogfeeds to our favorite feed reader!
Peace out,
Sarah
